I agree with Dave about this bloomin' story. I've gotta say though that I don't blog about social events. I do liveblog from certain conferences and events - although that's dropped off recently. I guess nobody is saying anything interesting any more. 2007-03-02T18:28:47ZUntitled entry permalink

Here's an interesting thing - irrepressible.info. It's a campaign by Amnesty International, and they have an API and RSS 2.0 feeds containing chunks of 'repressed' content. Another interesting case of 'bloggish' technology helping with human rights is Human Rights in China has a series of podcasts in Chinese documenting Tiananmen Square. I'm thinking that it would be cool if human rights groups could work together with geeks to setup more manual filter-dodging techniques - like burning controversial and banned websites on to CD and DVD to then mail to people who want them. 2007-03-02T17:15:50ZUntitled entry permalink

Sheila points me to an oldie but a goodie - Peter's Evil Overlord List. I'm watching through all the old Pink Panther movies at the moment. Last night I watched The Pink Panther Strikes Again, where psychotic ex-chief inspector Dreyfus sets up an evil base in a Bavarian castle and wipes the UN building off the face of the Earth. What I'd like to know is where they advertise vacancies for working for an evil overlord. I mean, they can't just pop down the Job Centre and put an ad up. And I'm betting there isn't a craigslist section for "overlord's administrative accomplices". There bloody well should be though. 2007-03-02T16:53:11ZUntitled entry permalink

Londonist have just put up a post about my Twitter Tube Tracker. Rob has also set up a Londonist Twitter account. Friended! I like the fact that the screenshot he has is of a severe delay to the good old Misery Line.
