Suw is learning Rails, it seems. I'd like to, but I can't be bothered, to be honest. I've got stacks and stacks of PHP that's waiting to be finished, and I actually get stuff done with PHP. Oh, and I'm going to hell for blogging, apparently (via Stephen Cohen). Here's the original article. Follow the 'logic' in there - "He that has knowledge spares his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit" (Proverbs 17:27-28). Even ignoring the hermeneutical issues that the Book of Proverbs raise, this has a little contradiction. If you shouldn't blog, then the same logic should mean that the good Christian teenager shouldn't speak. Which, of course, is fine by me. 2006-10-09T08:02:14Z

At least, upon discovery by the crazy horde, this Jesus and Mo cartoon won't send them quite as crazy as the rest since it doesn't explicitly depict Mohammed - instead using him as a veiled proxy for his nutcase followers. Smile and a wink 2006-10-09T08:00:26Z

I am a vegetarian, an atheist, like to code in Ruby and Scala (and Java, but let’s not talk about that), and noodle about with microformats and the Semantic Web.

I have an MA in philosophy from Heythrop College, University of London. My philosophical interests are in analytic metaphysics, ontology, modality, the work of Armstrong, Lewis, Kripke, Russell and Plato. I have a strange, unfulfilled interest in Gadamer’s hermeneutics. I’ve been influenced by Gadamer, by Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Rawls and Nozick.

Musically, I like jazz fusion, soul and P-Funk. My musical nirvana would be a mixture of Beethoven, Miles Davis and George Clinton topped with a side-serving of Erykah, Jill and Angie.

I also write for the Citizendium, an online encyclopedia project. If you know about stuff, you should join in. I occasionally produce audio recordings for The Pod Delusion.
