This weekend it's BarCamp London, as I have been muttering about for a while. And the rules of BarCamp is that there are no tourists - we've all gotta show something.
And this is what I'm showing. It's what I've been doing for the last few weeks with OPML - using it as a rapid access development environment for mashups.
There are problems with OPML, but they are outweighed by the fact that OPML provides a really simple framework for putting together these little mashups. Each one doesn't take very long to code.
I'm currently writing one that is taking a little while, but that's because it's a complex application. Hopefully, I can get it all together and release something over the weekend.
What OPML has the potential to do is democratise the production of mashups. Eventually, my mum will be able to make mashups. We're already going down that route wih OPML because it pulls a number of layers out of the process.
