Mary Warnock is taking the sensible view with regards to the predictable, annual brouhaha over A-level results. I didn't get great A-level results (for a variety of reasons). Ed Brayton has a good response to D. James Kennedy's awful-sounding new book. The funny thing is that the things Hitler said, if you remove the attribution to Hitler and shouted them out at - say - the Republican party's annual convention or a Moral Majority revival, they wouldn't sound out of place. My philosophical interests are in Victorian-era German philosophy, Kierkegaard, Robert Nozick, hermeneutics and current approaches to the demarcation problem in the philosophy of science. Musically, I like jazz fusion, soul and P-Funk. My musical nirvana would be a mixture of Beethoven, Miles Davis and George Clinton topped with a side-serving of Erykah, Jill and Angie.
