Nicholas Lemann has an article in the New Yorker which tries to provide some thought about this funny blogosphere and citizen media thing. Tip: whenever you see a criticism, think of it as a challenge. 2006-07-31T22:20:56ZUntitled entry permalink

Daniel Curran has a write-up of this shameful story. 2006-07-31T21:12:30ZUntitled entry permalink

I didn't know that Tony Blair went and met the old guard of the new economy. Isn't this just a follow-up from what George Osbone did last month? If Blair wants to do something, he could talk to Paul Graham. 2006-07-31T20:48:18ZUntitled entry permalink

Ben Goldacre has been doing great work ripping apart Brainiac's faked experiments with Rubidium and Caesium. 2006-07-31T20:10:31ZUntitled entry permalink

Steve Kirks has stopped using Radio UserLand. Which means he won't be able to make super-short nifty, untitled posts like this. 2006-07-31T20:09:08ZUntitled entry permalink

Dave has a good idea for Donovan's loss - a PayPal button. Donovan has done some great stuff with OPML, so I'll chip in a little bit. Hopefully, the insurance will pay for all the toys you've lost, but a few contributions should make it so that you can take your family out for a meal or spend it on a new, cool bit of hardware. 2006-07-31T10:02:48ZUntitled entry permalink

Apple has a returns programme for MacBook Pro batteries. I've already had a battery replacement, but they didn't ask for the not-working one back. So I've put the old one in, and will hopefully have two working MBP batteries. That'll make the flight I'm trying to book a little more enjoyable. Whether you've been suffering from bloating batteries or not, hop on over to Apple and grab your replacement. (Via TUAW) 2006-07-31T09:55:29ZUntitled entry permalink

I am a , an , like to code in and noodle about with and the . I also have a BA in philosophy from London, and am studying for an MA. My philosophical interests are in Victorian-era German philosophy, Kierkegaard, Robert Nozick, hermeneutics and current approaches to the demarcation problem in the philosophy of science. Musically, I like jazz fusion, soul and P-Funk. My musical nirvana would be a mixture of Beethoven, Miles Davis and George Clinton topped with a side-serving of Erykah, Jill and Angie.

I also write for the Citizendium, an online encyclopedia project. If you know about stuff, you should join in.
