Mobhappy has a bunch of predictions for 2006. Number 17 will soon be wrong, thanks to PayPal Mobile. Number 4 has an answer: they don't need a USP. They need a good price. People will find their own USP. I don't want to call people in video. Heck, I don't want to call people full stop. I want a cheap connection, and they refuse to do it. 2006-04-12T20:25:34ZUntitled entry permalink

I respond to yet another misunderstanding of podcasting. Is it simple ignorance or is it willed? 2006-04-12T19:46:41ZUntitled entry permalink

Want to see something sweet? A USB Flash drive that pumps up. As for applications? I'll leave those to your imagination. 2006-04-12T17:48:59ZUntitled entry permalink

I've just hacked up my NewsRiver further, adding a new function called "Quick Update". What's this? Well, we all love and adore our Reading Lists, right? Well, not all of us do. Reading Lists are great, but once you've bundled a whole load of stuff in to a Reading List, you have to then download it every time you update. If, like me, you use low bandwidth connections like mobile phones a lot, then downloading Reading Lists can take a long time. Quick Update cuts out the Reading List downloads, so that when I'm on the train I can simply hit "Quick Update" and it'll start grabbing headlines without the wait. If you want to try out this hack, you'll find it in the OPML Code node of my instant outline. (You can subscribe for further code updates). 2006-04-12T16:53:40ZUntitled entry permalink

I am a , an , like to code in and noodle about with and the . I also have a BA in philosophy from London, and am studying for an MA. My philosophical interests are in Victorian-era German philosophy, Kierkegaard, Robert Nozick, hermeneutics and current approaches to the demarcation problem in the philosophy of science. Musically, I like jazz fusion, soul and P-Funk. My musical nirvana would be a mixture of Beethoven, Miles Davis and George Clinton topped with a side-serving of Erykah, Jill and Angie.

I also write for the Citizendium, an online encyclopedia project. If you know about stuff, you should join in.
